      This course aims to equip students and researchers with comprehensive skills using Microsoft Word, one of the most widely used word processing tools. From this course, participants will gain proficiency in creating, formatting, editing, and sharing academic documents for personal, educational, and professional purposes.

      Section 1: Introduction to Microsoft Word

      • Navigate and use the basic features of Microsoft Word to create and manage documents.

       

      Section 2: Creating and Formatting Texts in Microsoft Word

      • Format text professionally using fonts, styles, alignment, and spacing tools.

       

      Section 3: Inserting Tables, Images, and Charts

      • Insert and customize tables, images, and charts to enhance document visuals.

       

      Section 4: Adding Page Numbering

      • Add and customize page numbers for organized document navigation.

       

      Section 5: Creating Table of Contents

      • Generate and update an automatic table of contents for structured documents.

       

      Section 6: Creating Bibliographies and References

      • Insert citations and create a bibliography using Microsoft Word.

    • This section 1 aims to explain the introduction of Microsoft Word for academic use. You will learn why Microsoft Word is an essential tool for writing papers, preparing reports, and organizing research in a clear and professional format.

      This section also explains the key features of Microsoft Word, including how to navigate the Ribbon, use formatting tools, apply styles, and manage references. These features are essential for producing clear, organized, and well-structured academic documents.

      The final section provides guidance on installing Microsoft Word through Microsoft 365. The steps include signing in to the account, downloading the software, and completing the setup on a laptop or desktop computer, ensuring the application is ready for academic use.

       

       

    • Section 2 provides guidance on creating and formatting text in Microsoft Word in accordance with academic requirements. This section covers the application of headings, subheadings, sub-subheadings, and normal text. It also explains how to show and hide text boundaries to support effective text organization and improve overall document structure.

       

       

    • Section 3 explores how Microsoft Word simplifies the process of adding tables, pictures, and charts to documents. In this section, you will learn step by step how to insert tables to organize information, add pictures to enhance visual appeal, and create charts to present data clearly and professionally. You will also be guided in adding captions to tables and pictures, as well as generating a list of tables and figures automatically.

       

       

    • Section 4 explains how to add page numbers to a Microsoft Word document. In this section, you will be guided step by step through inserting page numbers, hiding them on the first page, and restarting the numbering within the document, whether for a report, thesis, or proposal.

       

       

    • Section 5 focuses on creating headings, subheadings, sub-subheadings, and normal text. You will also be guided on how to show and hide text boundaries to help organize the content more effectively. In addition, this section explains the steps to create a Table of Contents in Microsoft Word, which helps structure the document and makes it easier for readers to navigate.

       

       

    • Section 6 focuses on creating bibliographies and references, which are also commonly known as a works cited page or a list of references. In this section, we will learn how to insert citations and generate a bibliography using Microsoft Word.
